On the first three Saturdays in March (the 3rd, 10th, and 17th), my friends and I will be presenting a sketch comedy show at Chicago's Gorilla Tango Theatre. The show is called "The Back Pocket Gang Presents..." It will begin at 6:00 p.m. and tickets are $10.

We formed our troupe when all us took the first of the Second City's comedy writing courses together. The name, "Back Pocket Gang" is a nod to our instructor for that class -- Nick Johne. When somebody had a good idea for a sketch, Nick would almost always incorporate the phrase "your back pocket" when giving his feedback: "Definitely put that in your back pocket for later" or "That's definitely something to keep in your back pocket." Well, we've kept an hour's worth of comedy marinating in our back pockets for several months, and we will soon let these ideas see the light of day in front of a paying audience. Do join us.
